SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) – The rapper known as Silento was arrested in as many days in Orange County and Los Angeles for alleged domestic violence and assault with a fatal weapon in two separate incidents, authorities said.
The rapper, whose real name is Richard Lamar Hawk, was taken into custody by Santa Ana police on Friday following a report of a domestic disorder on the 100 block of MacArthur Boulevard. He was booked and released for assaulting a spouse or roommate.
The next day, Hawk allegedly took a hatchet to a random house on the 12700 block of Burbank Boulevard in Valley Village. According to LAPD, he entered the stranger's apartment in search of his girlfriend. The homeowners and their children were at home at the time and were rocked by the intrusion but unharmed, investigators said.

Hawk was arrested by Los Angels police about a block away from the resident and later charged by the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office with two fatal weapon attacks.
Hawk rose to fame under the stage name Silento in 2015 when his hit single "Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)" topped the charts. The song inspired a dance fever back then, along with tons of social media videos from fans performing the individual dances.
Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae) has been viewed more than 1.7 billion times on YouTube since then.
