Federal and state investigators on Thursday raided a Pennsylvania nursing home where hundreds of residents and employees tested positive for coronavirus and dozen have died.
NBC News reports that investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the attorney general, and other agencies executed the search warrant at the Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, northeast of Pittsburgh, said Scott Brady, US attorney for the Western District in Pennsylvania.
The mountain. Lebanon Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, another nursing home in the Pittsburgh area operated by the same company that owns Brighton, was also raided by authorities on Thursday, NBC subsidiary WPXI reported.
Brady did not provide details of the search warrant, but did encourage those with information about suspected fraud, abuse, or victimization to contact a regional COVID-19 task force.
