You are solely responsible for your comments and by using TribLive.com you consent to ours
We moderate comments. Our goal is to provide an essential comment for a general readership. By screening submissions, we provide a space where readers can share intelligent and informed comments that improve the quality of our news and information.
While most comments are posted if they are topic-based and not abusive, moderating decisions are subjective. We will make them as careful and consistent as possible. Due to the amount of reader comments, we cannot check individual moderation decisions with readers.
We value thoughtful comments that represent a range of views that are quick and courteous. We strive to protect discussions from repeated comments by the same reader or different readers
We follow the same taste standards as the daily newspaper. A few things that we will not tolerate: personal attacks, profanity, vulgarity, profanity (including explosives and letters, followed by dashes), commercial advertising, imitations, incoherence, proselytization and SCREAMING. Do not add URLs to websites.
We do not edit comments. They are either approved or deleted. We reserve the right to edit a comment that is cited in an article or in part. In this case, we can correct spelling and punctuation.
We welcome strong opinions and criticism of our work, but we do not want comments to stall with discussions about our policies, and we will moderate accordingly.
We are happy if readers and people cited in articles or blog posts point out factual or highlighting errors and investigate all claims. But these suggestions should be sent
by email. In order not to distract other readers, we do not publish comments that suggest a correction. Instead, corrections are made in a blog post or in an article.
