The complaint further alleges that Advantis Medical Staffing, LLC violated California's unfair competition law, Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §§ 17200 ff. (The "UCL") through a company-wide guideline and a company-wide procedure in which the correct overtime rate for the overtime worked by PLAINTIFF and other members of the CALIFORNIA CLASS was not exactly calculated and recorded. As a result of DEFENDANT's deliberate disregard of the obligation to cover this burden, DEFENDANT allegedly did not properly calculate and / or pay all required overtime compensation for the work performed by members of the CALIFORNIA CLASS and violated the California Labor Code.
